The Government of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has taken a variety of measures since 1991 to improve the overall quality and distribution parity at all level through development of new education frame work /policy that would influence to bring complete structural change in Ethiopian education system. Data indicate that in addition to public higher educational institutions, the private sector has been involved in almost all parts of Ethiopia and showing tremendous growth every year. The focus given to education by the government is extremely encouraging. The government seems to have realized that education is the gateway to future economic prosperity, sustainable development and the chosen instrument for combating unemployment in Ethiopia. With this motivation MWET plc., has established Washera Broad View College in East Gojjam Administrative Zone, North West of the country. WBVC has been engaged in tertiary education and training since 2004 G.C/1996 E.C/ at the levels of diploma and certificate levels of the TVET program securing accreditation from the federal Ministry Of Education/MOE/ in 5 business and technology fields. Furthermore, the college secured accreditation in that same year in elementary school teachers training that is known as TTI from the ANRS education bureau and TVET agency. Currently the college is undergoing Education and Training at degree level in two faculties namely, Business and Technology having two departments each. From Business Faculty:- Accounting & Finance and Management; from Technology Faculty:- Computer Science and Information Technology, were selected by the Meserete Washera Education and Training/MWET/ P.l.c. members, all well experienced academicians in higher institutions.
